The creative behind House of SR Studios... It really all started when I was a kid, I was always getting in trouble for daydreaming in class, people always told me I had my head in the clouds. I knew I wanted something different for myself, but I really had no idea what that looked like or how to get there. So I followed the same path everyone else did and went to college, and graduated on the honor roll in just three years with my bachelor's degree. Fast forward to me entering the workforce. I started looking for jobs and realized that nothing was resonating with me. I felt like I wasn't excited or passionate about anything I was trying, it was extremely discouraging. I tried out a few jobs and was miserable, I kept thinking to myself, is this really it? I then realized that I had been denying myself what I truly desired out of my career and ultimately my life. I desired to feel fulfilled, to express myself creatively, to help others, and to make MY dreams a reality, not someone else's. Enter branding and web design. I really didn't even know that it was a career option as I'd grown up in a small town in Iowa where something like this was not the norm. I always knew I was creative and had an eye for design, but I'd never really leaned into it. So, I gave it a try and now, I truly think I've found my calling. I get to do something I love everyday and meet/help other inspirational badass business owners in doing so. If you're a business owner, I'm sure you can relate in some way to my story. I just want you to know that I see you and I respect the F out of you! Taking the leap was terrifying and I'm still scared everyday, but I know in my heart this is what I'm meant to be doing.
